Shipping Container Sales & Hire

Gippsland Cranes and Cartage can now supply you with a range of Shipping Containers. We have access to New, Used, Refurbished, and can arrange for Custom Modifications. If you have been looking for a storage solution, but would prefer an option that is portable, then a Container is perfect for you. They are solid, lockable, water tight, vermin proof, and offer great value for money. Containers are easily transportable, and can simply be re-located if you move house or business locations. There is no shortage of options available, especially with the example of custom modifications below as inspiration.

20ft Shipping Containers

B Grade Containers

Budget Grade Containers are typically at least 15 years old. They have many dents, scratches, patches and minor rust. They remain lockable, water tight and vermin proof and should last another 15 years.

A Grade Containers

A Grade Containers are newer and therefore have less damage. They will still have dents, scratches, patches and minor rust. They are also lockable, water tight and vermin proof and should last up to 30 years.

New Containers

New Containers have been used once for Cargo Shipping and may have slight scratches and scuff marks but typically have no damage.

Refurbished Containers

Refurbished Containers have been through the workshop and had their interior freshly painted and the floor sanded. Exterior painting can also be arranged at additional cost.

Custom Modifications

Containers can be modified as per your specific requirements. Options include; Personal Access Doors, Sliding Doors, Sliding Windows, Security Shutters, Lock Boxes, Whirly Birds, Vents, and Custom Paint.

10ft Shipping Containers

These Containers are a great idea when space is limited. They still provide the same qualities as the larger Shipping Containers, but are the ideal solution for compact areas and can be transported easily.

The 10ft shipping container is not a standard size. They are custom made and manufactured by cutting either a 20ft or 40ft container and welding back a prefabricated wall. They are constructed of strong Corten Steel and wooden floors, and any door type can be positioned and fitted to your requirements. The container is then painted with two to three coats of marine paint. Paint choice can be any colour from the Australian colour chart, although Colourbond colours are preferred, and Roller Doors are only available in Colourbond colours.

As the container is formed from a cut-down they cost more foot-for-foot than a standard 20ft or 40ft size. As they are manufactured in the workshop, custom lengths can also be provided if required.

Options include

Roller Door
A roller door provides quick and easy access to your container and is available in colourbond colours. Ideal for easy access .

Personal Access Door
Semi solid metal clad door pre hung into a frame & powder coated. Can be fitted anywhere on the container.

Original Doors
Double steel door opening for that industrial look, offering a high level of security. Advantage of rubber door seals to seal the unit.
